The BaT platform has been a fantastic platform for Retro Classic to connect with fellow enthusiasts in a safe, open, and transparent way.

The recent listing and sale of our beautiful ’72 Alfa Romeo GTV Coupe is a perfect example of what makes BaT and its community so great. Early in the listing process, David from Garage 42 reached out with some specific questions about the Alfa. Through our many exchanges, it became clear he was a true Alfisti! We discussed extensive details about the car, giving him the confidence to bid and ultimately win this gorgeous GTV Coupe.

The week after the auction, David was traveling from Boston to Paris for the Retro Mobile show, so we arranged to meet. 24 hours later, I was picking him and two good ‘petrol-head’ friends up at Toulouse airport to come and see the car in my home town of Limoux!

After a hearty lunch at the local brasserie, David took the Alfa for a drive on some twisty local roads. The smile on his face said it all! He was thrilled with his purchase, and I was equally happy knowing the car was going to a true enthusiast. Soon, she’ll be sleeping in David’s state-of-the-art automotive storage facility in Boston—Garage 42. What more could this beautiful Alfa ask for!!
