Geneva, March 1961. Jaguar Ltd. unveiled the E-Type to the world for the very first time at the International Motor Show in Switzerland. As the covers came off, a wave of excitement swept through the global press corps—an instant icon had arrived.

One of the most beautiful cars ever created began its extraordinary story in that very moment. Legend has it that Frank Sinatra, upon seeing the E-Type outside a Jaguar dealership in Los Angeles, declared, “I have to have this car—and I have to have it right now.” Even Brigitte Bardot could not resist the allure and undeniable sensuality of this design masterpiece.

Beyond its breathtaking aesthetics, the E-Type captivated with cutting-edge engineering: advanced suspension and braking systems, a tubular space-frame front end, and a torsionally rigid, lightweight monocoque construction. With acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in around 7 seconds and a top speed exceeding 240 km/h, it outperformed most of its contemporaries and quickly became a global sensation.

Offered here is an exceptional 1963 Jaguar E-Type Roadster, a matching-numbers example that has been the subject of a meticulous, no-expense-spared nut-and-bolt restoration completed in 2020 by renowned Jaguar expert Francis Trichet. Since its restoration, the car has covered just 1,200 km, having been sparingly used and carefully stored, preserving its outstanding condition.

Finished in the elegant and highly desirable Opalescent Blue, it is complemented by a blue alpaca hood and a beautifully appointed navy blue Connolly leather interior, presenting a harmonious and period-correct specification.

Following its restoration, this E-Type has fully regained its original performance, presence, and unmistakable allure. With its provenance, condition, and exquisite specification, it represents one of the finest examples currently available on the market today.
