The attraction:
All Fulvias are equal, but some are more equal than others.
Allow us to explain. To the untrained eye, this 1971 example looks much like any other Fulvia Coupé. But its elephant badges and "1600 HF" lettering make it a very special car. Here we have a remarkably original example of the rally-derived 1600 HF Lusso Series II.
Lusso models are wolves in sheep's clothing, retaining the bumpers and interior trim of the standard road models while housing the mechanicals of the special homologation race/rally car. Only 3,690 examples were made, and originals are extremely rare as many Lussos were later converted into competition cars.
The car was imported from the dry south of Italy in late 2021. Since then, it has been garaged 24/7 and has received professional attention from Lancia specialists Tanc Barratt and Omicron.
Presented in fantastic and highly original condition, this HF Lusso represents an incredible opportunity for Lancia enthusiasts.

The deep red (Rosso Scuro - Code 127F) paint presents very well overall, with a slight patina commensurate with age.
Completlely rust free
Elegant chrome finishes
Original Cromodora alloy wheels in very good condition, fitted with modern tread Michelin tires.
Clean and well-presented underbody, again, rust free and undamaged
Rare original black Lusso interior in very good condition
New rubber floor coverings and high quality carpet overmats front and rear
Minimal wear to upholstery, controls and electrical equipment - everything functions correctly.
As already mentioned, it's not easy to find a Series II 1600 HF Lusso that hasn't been converted into some sort of rally replica. It's even rarer to find such a car outside of Italy, and so this 1971 example is a real treat for the enthusiast.
A few minor paint chips are highlighted in the photos, as well as some light wear to the very original interior. But there's certainly no noticeable wear or deterioration to report, and the all-important bodywork and chassis are in very straight and in good condition with no rust (the sills and subfframe mounts have just been completely replaced by Tanc Barrret and, as such, are perfect (this is a common weak area for the Fulvia Coupe).
The mechanics
1.6-liter double overhead camshaft V4
Five-speed manual gearbox (dog-leg)
Engine developed by Tanc Barrett
Carburetors overhauled by Omicron
New subframe assembly by Tanc Barrett
Brake calipers replaced
Crankcase protection/sump guard fitted
Everything mechanically is in very good condition and she is a 'delight to drive ' thanks to recent attention from leading classic Lancia specialists. As the invoices (included) attest, a great deal of work has been carried out over the past year, resulting in a Fulvia ready to be enjoyed now.
More high resolution photos and videos coming soon.
